Preston Oaks Dallas Nearly Fully Leased After Rebuild
Preston Oaks survived a 2019 tornado. Now it's almost fully leased and pulling in millions of shoppers a year. The Preston Oaks shopping center in North Dallas, which was devastated by a tornado in 2000, is set to be fully leased after years of hard work by landlord Regency Centers. The center, which is attracting over two million visits a year, now sits alongside the Tom Thumb-anchored Mockingbird Commons as the backbone of Regency's Dallas portfolio. The anchor tenant, Central Market, was closed for 20 months for reconstruction before reopening, adding 4,500 square feet of selling space and expanded produce offerings, a juice bar, an updated coffee shop, a community room and a mezzanine. Four retailers, Ever/Body, Mia Bella Couture, Mr. Winston's Barbershop and Pinto Ranch, have recently opened for business at Preston Oaks. The property is located in a trade area where average household income within one mile exceeds $200,000.
