The conference highlighted the growing venture capital community in North Texas, with an estimated 450 company founders, investors, and community leaders gathered at OldParkland. Lonsdem, co-founder of Palantir Technologies and founder and managing partner of Austin-based 8VC, highlighted the state's pro-innovation approach, citing Saronic as an example. Other speakers included Dallas entrepreneur and investor Mark Cuban, Stephen Gillett, CEO of Verily Health, Lane Kasselman, co/CEO of Dallas-based Blockchain.com, and Will Edwards, co and CEO of Firehawk Aerospace.
